Other places of interest near to Chatel are; Evian famous for its spring water & thermal baths. It also has a water park, golf course, casino, a funicular railway from the spa to the royal gardens, a musical fountain, 3km pedestrian quay along lake Geneva from where you can take cruises, and
other water sports include sailing & water skiing. Then there is the very chic town of Montreux with its famous music festival, or why not spend a day shopping in Geneva with its huge water fountain and grand park.
